Gravity mode (recommended):

  1. The four faces correspond to 5, 10, 30, and 60 minutes.
  2. Flip the cube so your desired time faces up — the countdown begins immediately.
  3. When the session ends, the alert fires based on your volume setting.
  4. To reset mid-session, flip the cube face-down.

Manual mode (for custom durations):

  1. Switch to Mode 2 using the side button.
  2. Short-press [M/S] to set minutes; long-press to increment quickly.
  3. Press [ST/SP] to start. Press again to pause.
  4. Long-press [ST/SP] while paused to reset to zero.

FAQs

What are the four preset times in gravity mode?

5, 10, 30, and 60 minutes. Each face of the cube corresponds to one preset. Flip the face you want to the top and the countdown begins. If those durations do not work for you, manual mode accepts any custom time.

Does the vibration work for public use?

Yes. The vibration is strong enough to feel clearly in your hand or pocket. It is the most commonly praised feature by people who use the timer in libraries, cafes, and shared offices. It will not disturb anyone around you.

How long does the battery last?

Roughly 6 months with typical daily use of 1–3 sessions. It charges via USB-C in approximately 1.5 hours. The auto-sleep function after 5 minutes of inactivity significantly extends battery life between charges.

Is manual mode difficult?

Manual mode requires a few button presses to set a custom time. Some users find it less intuitive than gravity mode — we suggest starting with the four gravity presets and switching to manual only if none of those fit your session length.

Can I use it as a stopwatch?

Yes. Manual mode supports count-up timing as well as countdown. It is useful for tracking how long a task actually takes — not just how long you intended it to take.

  • Why a physical trigger changes the way you work

Research on implementation intentions shows that creating a specific stimulus-response trigger — 'when X happens, I do Y' — dramatically increases follow-through compared to vague intentions.

The act of physically flipping the timer is that trigger. It replaces the negotiation of 'okay, time to focus' with a concrete action. Your brain stops deciding and starts working.

  • The 30-minute work block

Open a single task. Flip the timer to the 30-minute face. Put your phone in another room. Work until the timer vibrates. Stand up for five minutes. That is the full system.

It does not require discipline — it requires a trigger. The Discipline Clock is the trigger. Used once, it shows you what focused work actually feels like. Used consistently, it becomes the most reliable part of your day.
